Look & Feel Younger

Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face. It’s also called microplaning or blading.

Dermaplaning aims to make your skin’s surface smooth, youthful, and radiant. This treatment claims to remove deep scarring from acne and uneven pockmarks on your skin. It’s also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face.

Dermaplaning can be used for any skin type and anyone with:

  • acne scars
  • dull skin
  • dry skin
  • sun-damaged skin
  • fine wrinkles

Questions & Answers

What areas can be treated?

It is typically used to treat the following conditions:

  • Aged Sagging Skin
  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Smoker lines around lips
  • Skin Tightening and Rejuvenation
  • Reduction of Scars and Acne Scarring
  • Rejuvenation
  • Large Pores
  • Stretch Marks

What results can I expect?

The treatment results in the formation of collagen and elastin with improved blood circulation to the skin as well. Following the treatment, the skin looks red similar to a sunburn. In general, this results in thicker, healthier, more youthful-looking skin.  Over the course of a full set of treatments, the body will produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen.  This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow.

Are there any side effects?

Dermaplaning is a low-risk procedure. Side effects may include slight redness in your face in the hours after getting the treatment. Some people develop whiteheads on their skin in the day or two after dermaplaning.
